Every Celebrity has a Cause…What’s Yours?

Hip hop and rap artist K Deezy sees it in his hometown of Detroit and in so many other urban cities of America.  What he sees is senseless violence that is hurting and killing young people every day.  For K Deezy, the violence must stop!  Not willing to sit around and hope for change, K Deezy is taking his message to the streets and airwaves of urban America.  K Deezy’s weapon of choice is his new song, “Be U.” 

A musically fresh and provocative song with strong and meaningful lyrics, “Be U” is positive and uplifting.  The song will resonate with anyone who loves hip hop/rap music, as well as with anyone who is tired of the violence and crime in the urban communities of America. 

Growing up in Detroit, K Deezy saw how violence destroyed lives, families, and dreams.  While he once thought that fighting violence with violence was the only solution, he now knows there is a far better way.  K Deezy knows that the best way to prevent violence is to stop it before it begins. 

K Deezy’s song has already been adopted by KeepPushin.org, a special on-line social marketing project aimed at positively impacting and empowering young people culturally, socially, educationally, and economically.  KeepPushing.org is sponsored by the city of Detroit Department of Health, Wellness and Promotion.  The city department also sponsors IMPACT, an initiative to engage celebrities, sports figures, politicians, civic and community leaders in campaigns to address public health issues among young people.
